About The Author

Glenna Mason is the pen name of Glenna Mason Pope Harris. She was fondly called Glenna Mason in her hometown of Richmond, Kentucky, the setting of her six (so far) mystery romances. None of the mystery romances is thus far published, but all will be in the foreseeable future (that is next three years.) Right now Glenna is concentrating on her second love (after horses and central Kentucky) and that is British literature, with a special emphasis on Jane Austens’ Pride and Prejudice, the most extraordinary work in the English language. Due to her love of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet and her joy at their final arrival at a lasting romance for the ages, Glenna has crafted three JAFF novels of her own. The first, Mr. Darcy and the Lady with the Fine Eyes, and the second, Mr. Darcy’s Foreboding, are currently available on Amazon kindle and in paperback through Amazon.

Glenna grew up in Kentucky horse country, in Madison County, named for James Madison who also gave her great great grandfather, James Madison Pope, his name. She attended Sophie Newcomb in New Orleans and University of Kentucky, where she majored in English and minored in History. She later studied in the Masters English program at the University of Louisville, received a teaching certificate, a principal’s certification and a second major in Humanities.

A true Anglophile, she loves everything British, especially their literature and history. She’s pretty fond of the French also, having often traveled to Paris. She rode horses in Normandy and enjoyed the museums of Nice.

Sheis an English major, who is an aficionado of Jane Austen. She belongs to the local Jane Austen Society. She has visited Jane Austen’s home in Bath, England. She is a member of the Sisters in Crime (SinC) and the Romance Writers of America. She has been to several writers’ conferences, including the Killer Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee and the Kentucky Women Writers Conference at the Carnegie Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Glenna is the proud mother of three children and one grandson. She loves all animals and belongs to several organizations which promote the betterment of the world for the animals which live here, including the Sierra Club and the Defenders of Wildlife and the World Wildlife Fund. She is the mother to a beautiful rescue dog Taylor and a lovely rescue cat Sophie.

She has a diverse interest in music; she loves classical music, especially the sonatas and symphonies of Beethoven, as well as Patsy Kline and Johnny Cash, Elvis, Bruce Springsteen and Bono. She loves great art, especially that of Turner, Raphael and da Vinci.
